JPG and PDF need an opaque background. If your image has transparent pixels, choose a color and approve the change.

Changing the color clears your approval. Opaque images do not need confirmation.

File layout, not a photo approval check. This tool does not verify a person's pose, face size, background or eligibility. It cannot guarantee acceptance for any document or the size of a physical print.

UNDERSTAND THE SIZE

Why 600 pixels per square?

At an intended 300 pixels per inch, a 2 inch square uses 600×600 pixels. Two columns and three rows fill 1200×1800 pixels. A PDF expresses the same file geometry in points: 72 points per inch, so the page is 288×432 points and each square is 144×144 points.

A JPG's pixel count alone does not set its printed size. Image viewers may read density metadata differently. Select 4×6 inch paper and check the preview in your printing software.

BEFORE YOU PRINT

Check a real paper copy

  1. Choose 4×6 inch paper in portrait orientation.
  2. For the PDF, choose actual size / 100% and turn off fit-to-page. For JPG printing, select the full 4×6 image without automatic cropping or enlargement.
  3. Check any borderless expansion or print-shop crop setting. Printers with unprintable margins may clip this edge-to-edge layout.
  4. Measure the full sheet and each square with a ruler before use. Physical printing has not been tested by Postbatch.

PREPARE FIRST

Already square, already reviewed

Need a square for an ordinary image project? Open the Frame & resize workbench in another tab, review your crop and export it before returning here. Your existing batch can stay in its own tab. No files move between tools automatically.

For a U.S. paper passport application, review the official photo requirements. Those requirements go beyond a 2×2 inch shape. Background replacement, cropping or other Postbatch edits do not establish compliance. Online renewal uses a separate single digital photo process; do not upload this six-copy sheet as that photo.

YOUR PHOTO STAYS HERE

Local processing, fresh downloads

The sheet maker processes your selected image in this browser. It does not upload your photo, put its name in a URL, add analytics, or store it for a later visit. Clearing the photo or leaving the page releases the tool's previews. Saved downloads remain on your device.

New input or a background change disables previous downloads. Source metadata is not copied into new exports; visible identifying details remain part of the image. Keep your original. Read privacy and processing limits.
